I’m looking to sell my car down in Arizona—what’s the best way to do it?

The first thing you need to do is complete a sold notice through the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). There you’ll sign off the back of the title and have your signature notarized.
Next, remove the license plate from the vehicle and contact the MVD to transfer it to another vehicle you own. If you’re not transferring the plate, you can destroy it.
Then, give the car title to the buyer, along with any
lien
release (if applicable). You may also be able to request a registration credit within 30 days.
