Can my insurance get canceled if I use the emergency road service too much?

Can GEICO cancel my insurance policy? It has been a pretty rough year with my car. It seems like every time I turn around, something breaks or goes wrong. I have used the emergency roadside that I have with GEICO about six times in the past 12 months. Am I using it too much?

“That does sound like a hard year! Your policy most likely will not be canceled, but a high amount of service calls can trigger a review.
More than four tows a year causes a red flag. A GEICO underwriter will review your policy to see the reasons for the tows. If it seems that they are due to wear and tear or something that hasn’t been properly repaired, they can suspend the roadside assistance from your policy for a certain period of time. This would go into effect at the time of renewal.
If this happens, you can still purchase roadside assistance from an independent seller like AAA.”
