How do you reset Bluetooth on a Ford Sync? Mine recently stopped pairing with my phone, and I don’t know why.

Here’s how you can reset Bluetooth on a
Ford
SYNC system:
  • From the SYNC system’s Bluetooth menu, turn the Bluetooth feature off, then turn it on again.
  • Turn your device’s Bluetooth off and on again as well.
  • From the SYNC system’s phone settings, select “Bluetooth devices” and manually connect your phone
  • If that step doesn’t work, try selecting “SYNC” from your device’s available Bluetooth connections if it appears as an option
To reset the entire SYNC system, you can press and hold the power button and the fast forward/seek right button simultaneously for about ten seconds.
Keep in mind these steps might vary slightly depending on what version of SYNC you currently have. If you need more guidance, you can refer to your owner’s manual or contact Ford’s support and service team via Ford’s website.
Depending on what’s causing the problem here, it’s also possible that an
aftermarket Bluetooth adapter
could be a cheap and easy workaround. But if there’s a deeper problem with your SYNC system, you might need a more extensive fix.
