How do you program the garage door opener on a Chrysler Town and Country?

I recently purchased a used Chrysler Town and Country. After doing some additional reading on my new car, I’ve learned that it’s possible to program a garage door opener in my car! I’m not sure where to start with this though—can you help me figure out how to program the garage door on my Chrysler Town and Country?

Congratulations on your new car! Follow these simple steps to learn how to program your
Chrysler Town and Country
garage door opener:
  • Locate the HomeLink buttons in the headliner or sun visor on the driver’s side of your car
  • Press and hold the first and third HomeLink buttons until the solid red light begins to flash rapidly, then release
  • Hold your garage door remote 1-3 inches away from the HomeLink button you want to program. Press and hold your garage door remote button and the HomeLink button until the red light changes from flashing slowly to rapidly. Then, release
  • Next, go to your garage door control center to locate and press the learn or training button. This button is often purple
  • Within 30 seconds, go back to your car and press the HomeLink button for 2 seconds, then release. Repeat the hold and press 2-3 times until you see your garage door close
  • Now you’re linked! You can use your HomeLink button to operate your garage door
