How do you play music through Bluetooth in a Cadillac SRX?
I bought a Cadillac SRX and am trying to wirelessly play music from my phone through the vehicle’s speakers, but I’m having trouble figuring out what to do. How do you play music through Bluetooth in a Cadillac SRX?

To play music through Bluetooth in a Cadillac SRX, you will need to pair your smartphone with your vehicle. This can be achieved in two ways: using multimedia touchscreen or voice recognition.
To connect your phone using the multimedia touchscreen, follow the instructions below:
- Turn your SRX on and keep it in Park.
- Tap the phone icon on the multimedia touchscreen.
- Look for an option to either Pair device, Add phone, or Connect phone. Select this option.
- Make sure your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on and go to Bluetooth settings. Select Pair new device and find your vehicle.
- Once you select your vehicle, you’ll be given a code - make sure this code matches the one on your SRX’s touchscreen.
- Touch Pair on the touchscreen and your phone.
- If prompted, you may need to allow your vehicle to access certain features, such as your phone’s contacts and messages.
If the pairing is successful, you should now be able to play music from your device through your Cadillac SRX’s audio system via the Bluetooth connection.
To pair your phone to your vehicle using voice recognition, follow the instructions below:
- Turn your vehicle on and make sure it is in Park.
- Find and press the Push-to-Talk button. After a few seconds you should hear a tone—once this tone sounds, say Pair phone.
- The multimedia display screen will then give a set of instructions to follow.
As long as you follow these instructions carefully, you should be able to play music through your phone’s Bluetooth connection.
