How do you open the gas tank on a Honda Odyssey?
I purchased a brand new 2022 Honda Odyssey EXL a few weeks ago, and it was finally delivered earlier today. After a long drive, I went to my local gas station to refuel—but couldn’t figure out how to open the gas tank! Is there a special way to open the gas tank on a Honda Odyssey?

. Figuring out all the features on a new vehicle can be confusing, but try not to worry. You can follow these steps to open the gas tank on a 2022 Honda Odyssey:
- Turn off the engine.
- Unlock all the doors.
- Press in on the fuel door.
After pressing the fuel door, it should spring open. You’ll also notice that there is no fuel cap to unscrew. With Honda’s capless design, you can immediately insert the gas nozzle and start refueling. Once you’re done,close the fuel door by pressing on it again until it clicks into place.
