Opening the gas tank on a Cadillac XTS is very easy, but can vary slightly depending on whether you have an older or newer model. If you have an older model Cadillac XTS (2013 - 2014), all you have to do to open the gas tank is push in on the rearward center edge of the fuel fill door and release it.
This process is the same for newer model Cadillac XTS vehicles, except for one small detail. The fuel door is locked whenever the doors are locked, so you’ll need to press the “unlock” button on your key fob before pushing in on the rear center edge of the fuel door.
Once you have the fuel door open, you’re all set—there’s no cap to unscrew as the XTS uses a capless fueling system, so all you have to do is insert the nozzle into the fuel tube and make sure it latches before putting gas in the tank.
In addition to learning how it works, buying a new car also necessitates purchasing a new insurance policy—but Luxury vehicles like Cadillacs can be expensive to insure.
