How do you know if your car has transmission problems?

My car is making some weird noises, and I’m worried about the transmission since it’s had issues in the past. How do I know if my suspicions are correct?

Kudos to you for being on top of things! Luckily, there are a couple clear signs that you can look for. If the transmission has any issues, it will usually have one or more of the following issues:
  • Struggles or refuses to switch gears
  • General burning smell
  • Weird noises when the car is in neutral
  • Gears slip
  • The clutch drags
  • Fluid leaks out
  • General grinding or shaking
If you see any of these issues, you’ll want to take your car to a mechanic to get any issues fixed as quickly as possible.
While you’re waiting for updates from the mechanic, you may want to make sure that your car insurance is in tip-top shape as well as your car. To do this easily, check out the
