How do you find part numbers for a Toyota?

Where are car part numbers listed for a Toyota? I recently bought a used car. I want to replace a couple of things, but I’m not sure how to figure out the part numbers so that I can order them.

Answer
There are a couple of different places where you can look to find part numbers for a Toyota. First, check your owner’s manual. It should list the 10- or 12-digit part numbers for each piece of the engine so that you can find replacements easily.
You can also search Toyota’s website using your VIN to find the parts that you need. Once you know the part number, visit parts.toyota.com to place an order online.
