How do you drain the fuel tank in a Toyota Camry?
My husband accidentally filled our Camry about halfway with diesel. Now we need to drain it—but I’d rather not pay for a mechanic to do it. What’s the best way to drain the fuel tank in my Toyota Camry?

Putting the
wrong gasoline in your car
can sometimes have major consequences. But try not to worry. Follow these steps to drain the fuel tank in your Toyota Camry
:- Start by purchasing a fuel tank drain pump. It looks like a long pipe with a ball in the middle.
- Once you have your pump, put one end in a big bucket (you may need two).
- Put the other end as far into the gas tank as you can.
- Squeeze the ball in the middle—it’s a pump that will help you add pressure to the tank and force the gasoline through the tube.
- Stop squeezing once the gasoline comes into the pipe and starts draining.
- Supervise the process as it drains.
- Continue squeezing the pump as needed until the tank is empty.
