How do I turn driving mode off on a Galaxy S7?

I have a Galaxy S7 that I love. But when I’m driving, it automatically goes into driving mode, which replies to all text messages. My car has hands-free texting, so I want to use that function instead. How can I turn off driving mode on a Galaxy S7?

Driving mode on a Galaxy S7 is intended to prevent you from getting a
distracted driving ticket
and help you focus on the road. You have two options to do this, depending on whether you’re a Verizon customer or not.
If you’re a Verizon customer, turn driving mode off on a Galaxy S7 by following these simple steps:
  • Open the Messages+ app on your phone.
  • Press the menu button.
  • Uncheck the driving mode auto-reply button.
  • That’s it!
If you’re not a Verizon customer, you can still use Google Maps. Follow these instructions to turn driving mode off on an S7:
  • Open the Google Maps app.
  • Open your profile by pressing the image (usually a profile pic of yourself) in the top right corner.
  • Press settings.
  • Scroll down and press navigation settings.
  • Tap Google Assistant settings.
  • Turn off driving mode by tapping the when navigating in Google Maps button.
Once you disable driving mode, just make sure to set up your hands-free driving mode as soon as possible so you aren’t tempted to use your phone for texting or other distractions.
While limiting distractions can help you become a better driver, you still need a way to legally protect yourself when you’re behind the wheel. But don’t pay too much for car insurance without shopping around. That’s when the
