How do I reset a 2007 Toyota Camry maintenance light?

I just took my car to the shop, but for whatever reason, the maintenance light remains. How can I reset the maintenance light on my 2007 Toyota Camry?

The maintenance light will remain on your 2007
Toyota Camry
 unless you manually reset it after maintenance. To reset the maintenance light, follow these steps:
  • Turn your car to the accessories position by turning the key once. Don’t start the engine.
  • Use the trip button on the instrument cluster to select Trip A.
  • Hold the trip button to reset Trip A to 0.0.
  • Turn the key to the off position.
  • Then, turn the key back to the accessories position.
  • Press and hold the trip button while turning the key to the on position.
  • You should see the Trip button flash and the maintenance required light will disappear.
