How do I remove oil paint from a car body?

Is there a way I can remove oil paint from my car's body? I accidentally spilled some on the used car I just bought and I'm desperately trying to get it out.

“Uh-Oh! Removing oil paint is tough, but there are things you can do to remedy the situation.
  • Use a chemical that removes oil paint, like Goo-Gone or Goof Off. Test the chemical on a small portion of your car first to make sure it doesn’t cause further damage to the surface.
  • If that doesn’t work, contact your local car detailer. They’ll be able to remove the stain for you or recommend specialty products to help you get the stain off.
