My 2016 Civic has been running warm lately—I suspect it’s low on coolant. How do I add coolant to my car?

Coolant is definitely an important aspect of proper engine function. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to put coolant in your Honda Civic if you suspect it’s low.
Per your owner’s manual, you will need 50/50 premixed coolant. The coolant reservoir is located to the left of the engine and features a silver cap. Once the engine is cool, unscrew the cap and top off the reservoir with coolant up to the fill line.
Make sure to never open this reservoir when the engine is hot! Hot coolant can cause scalding burns.
