Just bought a Smart car. I love it! So compact and convenient. Not sure how to get under the hood, however. How do I open the hood of the Smart car?

Opening the hood of a
Smart car
 is easy! Opening the hood of a Smart car is done totally from the outside of the vehicle.
There’ll be two latches on opposite ends of the top of the grill. You should be able to open them with your fingers, although a small tool like a screwdriver can save you some finger-pain.
With the latched undone, you can lift the hood off. Unlike most vehicles, where the hood tilts up, the hood of the Smart car is completely removable. It will remain attached to your vehicle with a safety string.
