How do I open a 2016 Mazda CX-5 gas tank?
I’m borrowing my mom’s 2016 Mazda CX-5 for the day, and I can’t figure out how to open the gas tank on this thing. I’m pushing on the little door as I do in my car and it’s not moving! A little help? Could you explain how to open a 2016 Mazda CX-5 gas tank?

There are two popular methods of opening gas caps in modern cars: the “push it and pop it” type like your car has, and the pull-lever type like your mom’s Mazda has.
Open the driver’s door and look for a little lever-like tab on the floor to the left of the driver’s seat with a gas symbol. To open the gas tank, simply pull upward on this small lever and the cap will pop right open.
Here’s another useful hint for you, in any car you happen to be driving. Take a look at the fuel gauge on the dashboard. Do you see the little arrow alongside the fuel symbol? That’s pointing toward the side of the car where the gas cap is located. This is handy to know when you’re pulling into a gas station in a car that’s new to you.
