How do I get massive amounts of water out of my car's carpet?

I left my car window open during a torrential downpour and now the carpet is soaked. I'm really frustrated, and I'm hoping there's a way I can fix it myself before it starts turning into mildew. How on earth can I get this water out my car's carpet?

“That sounds really annoying; I would also be frustrated in your shoes.
I am happy to say that you have several options to get rid of excess water on your car’s carpet. However, they all start the same way: use a towel to soak up as much moisture as you can
Next, you have one of four choices:
  • Open all the windows and put a fan on the affected area until the water evaporates.
  • Hang Damp-Rid bags inside of your vehicle for a day or two.
  • Put a portable dehumidifier in the car.
  • Use a shop vac or wet/dry vac to soak up the moisture.
Unfortunately,
comprehensive coverage
won’t cover this issue since you left the window down. However, for future reference, if you left the window up and the moisture leaked in through a faulty seal or the roof, your
car insurance
would cover it.
If you don’t have comprehensive coverage and you live in an environment that has these torrential downpours frequently, it might be a good idea to add it to your policy. One of the easiest ways to find the best deal on coverage you need is through the
