How do I fix rattling speakers in my car?

- First off, the issue might just be how your sound system is tuned. Using the equalizer to lower the bass might help.
- If you want to keep the bass bumping, you should try tightening the screws that keep the speaker together. It could be that simple. Alternatively, make sure no loose items are pressed against the speaker—they may be the source of the rattling.
- If none of this works, you’ll need to buy and install soundproofing material. This will cover the offending speaker and quiet the rattling.
