My speakers are SO loud… but not in the way I want. They rattle whenever the bass gets bumping! It’s been ruining all my favorite songs. How do I fix my car’s rattling speakers?

A car ride without music? Sounds like a nightmare. Don’t worry, though—here’s how to fix your rattling car speakers:
  • First off, the issue might just be how your sound system is tuned. Using the equalizer to lower the bass might help.
  • If you want to keep the bass bumping, you should try tightening the screws that keep the speaker together. It could be that simple. Alternatively, make sure no loose items are pressed against the speaker—they may be the source of the rattling.
  • If none of this works, you’ll need to buy and install soundproofing material. This will cover the offending speaker and quiet the rattling.
