How do I connect a subwoofer to my car stereo without an amp?

I’ve been getting into sound modifications for my car. I finally got a subwoofer, but I couldn’t afford to get an amp, too. How do I connect a subwoofer to my car stereo without an amp?

A new sound system for your car can really change your driving experience for the better. Although you couldn’t get the amp, you can definitely install your subwoofer without it!
Here’s how:
  • To get started, turn your car off and disconnect your car battery.
  • Read your subwoofer’s manual thoroughly before beginning.
  • Remove your current speaker from its mounting dock.
  • Replace it with your subwoofer.
  • Connect the stereo and power supply cables to the subwoofer.
  • Connect the power cable to the appropriate outlet (if your car has one).
  • Reconnect your car battery.
Now that you have your system installed, reach out to your
car insurance
company to let them know that you’ve installed an aftermarket part on your car. You’ll want to add
sound system coverage
to your policy, if possible.
Should this cause your premium to increase, you can shop for a new policy with the
