The 2022 Honda HRV has a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that should prove useful. It turns on a dashboard light denoted by a tire and an exclamation point when your tire pressure is low. However, you will still need to check tire pressure when this light comes on, so learning how to do it is a great skill to know.
Here’s how to check tire pressure on a Honda HRV from 2020:
  1. Turn your HRV to accessories mode by turning the key or pressing the push-button start with your foot off the brake.
  2. Open the driver’s side door and look at the door jamb. You should find the correct tire pressure listed here. Most 2020 HRVs recommend 32 PSI for the front tires and 30 PSI for the rear, but this may vary on the size of your wheels and the trim.
  3. Find the valve stem on the tire and unscrew it.
  4. Press the tire gauge onto the valve stem to get a reading
  5. Inflate with compressed air until you reach the correct PSI level. Alternatively, you can take air out of the tire by using the backside of the tire gauge.
