How can I turn off the airbag in a Toyota Tacoma?

I recently bought a Toyota Tacoma from my neighbor and I’ve finally fit it with the appropriate modifications for my wife, who has dwarfism. The last thing I want to do is turn off the passenger airbag since it can cause fatal damage to smaller people when deployed. How can I do this in a Tacoma?

Congrats on the new-to-you
Toyota Tacoma
! Airbags are designed to save lives, but they can cause more harm than good to individuals with heights that vary greatly from average.
If you want to deactivate the passenger side airbag on your Toyota Tacoma, just follow these simple steps:
  1. Open your passenger side door.
  2. Release the manual key from your key fob.
  3. Insert the key into the airbag setting slot located on the side of the dash.
  4. Turn your key to the right to turn the airbag on and to the left to turn the airbag off.
And just like that, your passenger-side airbag is deactivated! Once you’ve done this, be sure that you report any
modifications
made to your Tacoma so that they can be properly covered under your
car insurance
policy. If you find that these modifications are not covered, or they cause your premium to skyrocket, the

app can help.
