How can I connect my phone to a Honda Civic?

I very recently bought a new Honda Civic. Coming from a 2001 Honda Accord, it has been a massive learning curve. I’m excited about all of the new features, but I’m struggling to figure out how to use many of them. The one I want to use the most is Bluetooth. How can I connect to my phone in a new Civic?

Congratulations on the new ride! I’m sure that the upgrade is a welcome change. That said, it can be a bit overwhelming to get used to a new vehicle and its features.
Luckily, connecting your phone to your Honda Civic is pretty easy. Here’s what to do:
  1. Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  2. Access the Home screen of your Honda Civic.
  3. Select the phone icon, then press yes at each prompt until you see the Add a Device screen.
  4. Select your mobile device from the screen.
  5. On your phone, select HandsFreeLink and your phone should pair.
