Does the Subaru warranty transfer to a new owner?

I’m planning to sell my Subaru Outback, but I’m not sure what to advertise about the warranty. If I sell the car, will the warranty transfer to a new owner?

That’s for sure something you want to check before you advertise! The warranty for your Subaru Outback is fully transferable to a new owner so long as the original warranty term has not expired. For example, the New Vehicle Limited Warranty that came with your Outback is transferable anytime within three years/36,000 miles.
Here are the other limits for the warranty coverages on your Subaru:
  • Powertrain Warranty: 5 years/60,000 miles
  • Rust Perforation Warranty: 5 years/unlimited miles
  • Wear Items Warranty: 3 years/36,000 miles
  • Seat Belt Lifetime Warranty: Unlimited time and mileage
  • Hybrid System Warranty (if applicable): 8 years/100,000 miles
