Does the Ford extended warranty cover the battery?
I’m trying to figure out what my Ford extended warranty covers. While I get the basic idea of Ford’s extended warranty, I can’t find any information about the battery. Does the extended warranty from Ford cover the battery?

Unfortunately, a Ford extended warranty will typically not cover the battery. A dead battery is usually considered normal wear and tear. An extended warranty only covers repairs and replacement parts due to a manufacturer defect.
Since batteries naturally deplete over time—typically within three to five years—it’s not considered a manufacturer defect when one fails. As a result, you’re on the hook for the replacement costs, which range from about $150 to $300 depending on the vehicle, the model year, and the quality or warranty level of the new battery.
