Does a Genesis warranty transfer to a second owner?

If I purchase a Genesis vehicle with a warranty and then sell it, does the remaining warranty period transfer?

Most of your
Genesis
warranty will transfer to the second owner for the remainder of the warranty period—except the powertrain warranty, which is only partially transferable.
The following warranties—which come with every brand new Genesis vehicle—will transfer completely:
  • New Vehicle Limited Warranty (5 years/60,000 miles)
  • Anti-Perforation Warranty (7 years/unlimited miles)
  • Emissions Performance (5 years/60,000 miles)
  • Defect Warranty (1 year/12,000 miles)
  • California Emission Control Systems Warranty (8 years/80,000 miles)
  • Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty (1 year/12,000 miles)
Powertrain warranty: If you are the original owner of the Genesis vehicle, your powertrain warranty lasts 10 years/100,000 miles from purchase. Second owners will have coverage for the powertrain components for up to 5 years/60,000 miles under the Genesis New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
