Does a DPF delete void a warranty from Ford?

I want to increase the power of my Ford diesel truck. However, I’m worried that doing a DPF delete may void the warranty. Will a DPF delete void my Ford warranty, or am I OK to go ahead and do it?

Unfortunately, a DPF delete, or diesel particulate filter delete, will normally void the Ford warranty. In most cases, any type of delete—be it a muffler, exhaust, etc.—will also void the warranty because it alters the original underpinnings of the vehicle. In addition, a DPF requires a change to the electronic control unit (ECU), which Ford specifically sets and tunes for each Ford vehicle.
