. Let’s talk about why.Flat towing a vehicle means towing it on all four wheels, rather than placing it on a trailer. Some benefits of flat towing include:
- Less weight to tow
- Easier to set up
- Often cheaper
Unfortunately, Subaru does not recommend flat towing the Forester. Doing so can easily damage the vehicle and may even void your warranty. You might see some online claims that it’s fine to tow a Forester with a manual transmission, but you’re better off listening to the manufacturer and avoiding it.
