Can I drain the water out of the car door myself?

I have been hearing a water sound in my car for days. I finally figured out that somehow there is water in my car door! Is this something I can drain myself or is there a hefty repair bill in my future?

“Don’t worry, draining the water out of your car door should be something you can do yourself!
To get started, look for a small hole in your door, located at the bottom left of the door panel. All car doors have a drainage system, which sometimes get clogged with leaves or sludge.
Find something pointy like a wire hanger and try to dislodge the blockage. If the water comes out, then great! All you have to do is wait for the next rain to make sure the blockage is cleared.
If you try this a few times and it doesn’t work, you may have to visit a mechanic.
A situation like this should be limited to just the door, but to be on the safe side, make sure you have the appropriate towing package in the event of an emergency. If you’re looking for roadside assistance at a great price, try

Good luck keeping water out of your car!”
