Can an 02 sensor cause my car to stall?

I was told by a mechanic that I needed to get my car’s O2 sensor replaced. I was going to take my Nissan in in a few days, but now my car is stalling. Are these things related? Can an 02 sensor cause my car to stall?

Oh no! Yes, unfortunately, a bad O2 sensor can cause your car to stall.
Your car’s O2 sensor monitors the amount of oxygen in your engine. An engine needs a very precise ratio of oxygen and gas to perform combustion properly. When this ratio is off, the engine will perform less efficiently or possibly not work at all.
These performance issues can definitely cause your car to stall. Head to a mechanic as soon as possible to get your car diagnosed and your O2 sensor replaced.
