Are headlights covered under the Kia warranty?

A professional mechanic told me that my Kia’s dim headlights are due to a mechanical issue. He said that since the car is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, I could likely get the problem fixed at no cost. Will the warranty cover this?

Being under warranty definitely has its perks! Headlights are covered under the
Kia
warranty as part of the limited basic warranty, which spans 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. Unfortunately, the warranty will not cover the replacement of HID bulbs.
If you drive a 2011 to 2013 Kia Optima or Optima hybrid and the housing of your low beam headlights is deteriorating, Kia will cover the costs of repair under their ** Warranty Extension Program**. The Warranty Extension Program covers issues regarding faulty headlight assembly for a period of 10 years with unlimited mileage.
Learning as much as possible about your Kia’s warranty is essential to getting the most out of it. Get the most out of your
