Are all Cadillac Escalades AWD?

I’m in the market for a full-size SUV and my tastes are a bit extravagant. I’d like to buy American, and the Cadillac Escalade is at the top of my list, but I want to make sure that it comes with all-wheel drive (AWD). Are all Cadillac Escalades AWD or do I have to add that option?

All Cadillac Escalades come with rear-wheel drive standard. Any other drivetrain is an added option that you pay extra for when you purchase the car.
It’s important to note that the Cadillac Escalade has not had AWD since 2014. 2014 was the last year that Cadillac offered this drivetrain, opting for 4WD on all models from 2015 until today.
Four-wheel drive won’t give you the same traction when you’re driving as AWD, but it’s a handy option if you frequently go off-roading. If you want AWD—which is better for everyday driving—look to the ranks of used Escalades made in 2014 or prior.
Regardless of which Escalade you decide to buy, you’re already paying quite a bit to take one home, so don’t pay extra for car insurance. Download the
