Toyota
recently announced its partnership with the Concacaf Gold Cup, one of the most anticipated soccer competitions of the year. Their partnership involves a mobile game.
It's not just for fun, either—players could potentially win a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, along with other prizes. Read on to find out more about their partnership and what the mobile game is all about.

Toyota's partnership with Concacaf

Toyota is offering a chance to win the 2021 Tacoma
While some may consider a soccer and car
partnership
strange, this certainly isn't the first time Toyota's done it. In fact, their partnership with the Concacaf Gold Cup is the third consecutive one. They've also sponsored other soccer games in the past, including Liga Mexicana and UEFA Champions League.
In anticipation of the Gold Cup, they've released a mobile game called "Goal to the Gold Cup." It's designed to "celebrate the determination and spirit of the players and the fans," according to
Toyota
. It'll allow fans from around the world to show their excitement, which is especially rewarding considering the pause in sports games over the pandemic.
As for the Gold Cup itself, it's one of the most well-known and anticipated men's national soccer competitions. It includes sixteen teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean.
They will play across the United States in eight major cities, including Houston, Las Vegas, Kansas City, and more. The Gold Cup began on July 17th and will host its final on August 1st.

How Toyota’s mobile game works

"Goal to the Gold Cup" holds a simple premise: players choose their
truck
between two options, a Tacoma TRD Pro or a Tundra TRD Pro. Then they choose their favorite team from the sixteen options. After that, the app gives a countdown, and players are directed to shout the word "goal" for as loud and as long as possible. The longer and louder they shout, the farther the car will go.
Conill, Toyota's Hispanic marketing partner, developed the game. The game is currently available for free through both their social channels (@ToyotaLatino) and a
website
with a QR code. Once they play the game, players will automatically be entered to win a variety of prizes.
They'll also be able to use the app at the Gold Cup itself in what Toyota refers to as "pre-game Fan Zone activities." This includes getting to play the app inside a Tundra, although Toyota didn't reveal many details on this.

Prizes for playing the game

The prizes for playing the game are highly anticipated, including a lease for a Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma is one of the best-selling midsize pickup trucks, and the model they're offering as a prize is the Tacoma 2021. It's a third-generation with new colors and features, and so far, it’s incredibly popular among truck drivers. This makes it exciting for players to potentially win.
The other major prize is a trip to the Gold Cup Final, which will take place in Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. These are the only two prizes Toyota officially announced. It's unclear if there are any other prizes players can win through the app.
The winner of the Toyota Tacoma lease will certainly enjoy it, but they should invest in some car insurance. If you need to compare car insurance rates, you'll find maximum savings with
