While Branson,
Missouri
, may not have been at the top of your travel bucket list before, if you love movies, or
cars
, that might be about to change.
The Celebrity Car Museum is located in the heart of Branson and displays over 100 iconic rides from hit television shows and movies, including multiple Fast and Furious . This museum is definitely a hidden gem you don’t want to miss on your next
road trip
.
You can see cars from Fast and Furious, Ghostbusters and more at the Celebrity Car Museum.

What is the Celebrity Car Museum?

The Celebrity Car Museum was opened by the Velvet family in Branson, Missouri in 2012. You can still find the museum in its original Branson location, on the lower level of the Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theatre.
While the museum is a bit off the beaten path, those road-tripping down the 76 Strip will be able to spot the attraction right away—or more specifically, spot the flashy cars located outside the entrance like those from Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters, and Jurassic Park.
Admission to the museum is $17.95 for adults, $15.95 for seniors, $12.95 for teens, and $7.95 for kids under 13. At some points in the museum, like at the Batmobile, patrons can pay an extra $10 to sit inside the vehicle and have their picture taken. Besides these designated photo ops, visitors aren’t allowed to touch the cars, but they are encouraged to take plenty of pictures of the vehicles.
The museum opens at 9 a.m. every day and stays open until 8 p.m. on the weekdays and 9 P.M. on the weekends. Plus, it’s open year-round, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas days, so you can take a road trip there anytime.

Fast and Furious and more: what to expect at the museum

The museum features a large variety of recognizable rides. They have the DeLorean time machine from Back to the Future, the Knight Industries Two Thousand, or KITT, from Knight Rider, Mutt Cutts van from Dumb and Dumber, and of course, a number of vehicles from the Fast and Furious series.
While these iconic cars are permanent fixtures in the museum, about 30% of the inventory is rotating on a yearly basis, so there’s about three new cars to see every month, according to the museum’s social media manager, Andy Simpson, as reported by the
Branson Tri Lake News
.
The next displays gearing up to be in the museum spotlight include Harley Quinn’s Jaguar from Birds of Prey, a DC Comics wall, and an Avengers display with life-size figures of the movie characters.
In addition to movie and TV cars, the museum also features a number of other film props and costumes.

How do the owners collect the cars?

Museum owner Scott Velvet is constantly buying and selling cars to increase his display. Velvet typically travels across the country to buy new merchandise, and then the museum team works to put it on display.
95% of the cars inside the Celebrity Car Museum are not reproductions, but instead were used in the actual productions. Velvet also has relationships with Netflix and Universal, so he receives cars and props from them as well.
If you can’t make it to the Celebrity Car Museum, don’t worry! You still have other opportunities to see the iconic collection. Velvet takes his collection to auto shows, including the Philadelphia Auto Show and the Cleveland Auto Show, as well as comic cons—like the Wizard World Comic Con.
