Most people assume that the tech features offered in luxury vehicles are better than those found in more affordable models. At first glance, J.D. Power’s study confirms that premise, but a closer look might reveal a more complicated narrative.
It’s true that the top five performing brands in the survey fall under the luxury segment. Genesis was followed by Cadillac, Volvo, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. But Hyundai came in sixth, followed by sister-brand Kia and three other modest automakers—Nissan, Subaru, and GMC.
