How does Infiniti roadside assistance work?

Roadside assistance coverage is automatically included when you purchase any Infiniti. It doesn’t matter what model it is, what year it was manufactured, or how many miles you’ve put on it.
This assistance is available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Infiniti Roadside Assistance coverage is free of charge for the first 48 months after you purchase the car. You can take advantage of this service as many times as you like, from any location, and it will not affect your coverage or cost you a dime!
Infiniti's roadside assistance program is fairly comprehensive. It includes:
  • Lockout service
  • Jump start
    services
  • Flat tire changes
  • Fuel delivery
  • Towing to the closest certified Infiniti retailer or collision center
  • Winching
  • Trip interruption reimbursement
There are some limitations to these services that you should be aware of. The towing service, for instance, is only free if you have your car towed to the nearest Infiniti retailer—if you want to be towed anywhere else, you’ll have to pay via credit card. That makes it wise to have a rough idea of general
car towing costs
so you can be prepared if the unexpected does occur.
The trip interruption reimbursement service also has some limitations.
If you’re delayed for more than three hours due to car trouble, Infiniti will pay you up to $100 an hour—but only if you break down at least 100 miles from your home. The total reimbursement payment will max out at $1000

Keep in mind that if you’ve been in a collision, you need to call 911 before you call roadside assistance. You’ll also want to make a detailed list of any damages that occurred so that you can use them when you file an insurance claim—taking pictures is a really good idea.

What if my Infiniti warranty expired?

Every Infiniti comes with
standard warranty coverage
. If you experience any covered problems while the warranty is active, Infiniti will pay for some or all of the costs to resolve the issue.
However, even if your warranty is expired, you’ll still have Infiniti Roadside Assistance—so long as it is within 48 months of the time of purchase. Infiniti's roadside assistance coverage is not tied to any warranty coverage.
If it’s been more than 48 months and you need roadside assistance, you can still rely on Infiniti’s help. You’ll just have to pay for it with any major credit card.

Is Infiniti Roadside Assistance worth it?

Unlike many car manufacturers, Infiniti automatically includes roadside assistance along with your purchase—at no additional cost!
Once your automatic roadside assistance expires, you can keep your coverage going by purchasing one of Infiniti’s
Extended Protection Plans
that includes roadside protection.
Infiniti offers a variety of extended protection plans that provide a diverse selection of protection services for a wide range of prices. Whether a plan is worth it will depend on your budget and how much time you usually spend on the road.

Alternatives to Infiniti Roadside Assistance

If your Infiniti Roadside Assistance has expired and you’d rather not purchase one of their extended protection plans, there are alternatives.
Most car insurance companies, for instance, offer
towing and labor coverage
for only about $10-$20 a year. However, the companies may require you to already have
collision coverage
and
comprehensive coverage
on your policy.
