You will need to have the following:

Your Acura MDX VIN. If you don't know this 17-digit number, you can find it on the small plaque in front of the driver's seat just below the windshield, on your vehicle registration, on financial statements dealing with the vehicle (bank statements, loan agreements, proof of insurance documents, etc), and a number of other places as well

Your car radio’s serial number. You can find this on the Anti-Theft Identification card in the glove box

Turn your Acura’s ignition switch to ON, but do not start the engine

Turn the radio on. The display should read “CODE”

Turn the radio off

Press and hold the number 1 and the number 6 buttons on the radio, then turn it on
