background
The recommended tire pressure for a Mercedes-Benz GLC300 is 32 pounds per square inch (PSI) for both the front and rear tires.
Filling up your tires with the proper air pressure is crucial to maintaining safety on the road. Sufficiently inflated tires improve your ride quality while increasing fuel efficiency, and failing to keep them inflated can lead to bigger issues later on.

What is the right tire pressure for a Mercedes-Benz GLC300?

The recommended tire pressure for a Mercedes-Benz GLC300 is typically 32 psi for all four tires. You can verify this number on your own GLC300 by looking in your owner’s manual or checking the sticker on the driver side door jamb.
Different trim levels on vehicles can sometimes require different tire pressures due to varying configurations. In the case of the GLC300, though, both the base and 4MATIC trims generally call for 32 psi.
If you choose to modify your GLC300 on your own and slap on bigger tires, however, they might have different tire pressure requirements. You can usually find this new number by looking for the number followed by “psi” on the outer edge of the tire itself.

How to check Mercedes-Benz GLC300 tire pressure

You can always check your tire pressure right on your GLC300’s infotainment screen. In fact, when your SUV notices that one or more of your tires has decreased to an unsafe level, its tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light will light up to alert you.
To see the pressure level of each tire, begin by turning on your vehicle. Next, shuffle through the menus using your left or right arrow buttons on your steering wheel until you reach the “Service” menu. Scroll through the options until you highlight “Tire Pressure” and then press “OK”.
You can also check your pressure with a
tire pressure gauge
. Just unscrew the tire valve cap, push the gauge onto the tire valve and the pressure will be presented on your gauge.
Additionally, your GLC300 can also warn you more air is needed before the warning light even turns on. Stay alert for declining vehicle performance, skewed steering, or uneven rides. If you suspect something isn’t right, it can never hurt to verify your tires’ pressure.

How often should you check tire pressure?

Your tire pressure should be checked once a month and before taking any long trips.

How to tell if your Mercedes-Benz GLC300 needs new tires

At the very least, your GLC300 tires should be changed once every six years, but get accustomed to inspecting your tires for signs of damage every time you check the pressure. If you notice any low tread depth or unusual cracks, it’s probably time for a
tire replacement
Never checked tire tread depth before? All you need is a penny. Place Lincoln’s head into the tread. If you can see the top of his head, your tread is likely too low.

How to reset the Mercedes-Benz GLC300 tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light

A common problem GLC300 owners (and all car owners) experience is a tire pressure monitoring system light that won’t turn off. If you just filled up or changed your tires and the TPMS light remains on, you probably have to
reset your TPMS
.
Mercedes-Benzes are equipped with tire pressure sensors that turn the TPMS warning light off automatically after recalibration. You can start this process by driving at speeds above 50 mph (where legal, of course) for 10 minutes—in most cases, this will reset the TPMS.
If the warning light is still on, try turning the car off, then turn your key to the “on” position. Hold the TPMS reset button beneath the steering wheel until the warning light blinks three times and turns off. Finally, start the engine and wait about 20 minutes for the sensors to reset.
If the TPMS warning light is still on after all of this, you may want to bring your GLC300 to your trusted mechanic or Mercedes-Benz service center to determine the cause.
