How to check Ford F-350 tire pressure
It’s a good idea to check your Ford F-350 tire pressure regularly, but if you’ve never had to do that before you might be unsure of where to start. Depending on the manufacturing year of your F-350, you may be able to see the tire pressure for each tire on your infotainment setup. And if you’re able to see that, it’s likely that you will even receive alerts telling you when any of your tires’ pressure needs attending to.
If you do not have that sophisticated of an infotainment system, or you’d just prefer to check the pressure yourself, you’ll need a tire pressure gauge. You can pick up one of these small and inexpensive tools at any auto supply store.
It’s best to check your tire pressure in the morning or after your truck has been off for at least three hours so excess heat build-up doesn’t give you an inaccurate reading. Start by removing the valve stem caps and then simply press the head of the gauge onto the valve stem. The gauge will offer a tire pressure reading that lets you know to either add or remove air.
It’s even possible that you can be alerted to a change in tire pressure by your truck’s driving performance. You may need to add or remove air in your tires if you’re noticing things like wonky steering or decreased fuel economy. Since incorrect air pressure can lead to blown tires and even accidents, it’s best to check your tire pressure anytime you’re unsure.

The TPMS warning light remaining on even after you’ve corrected the tire pressure is a common issue. Most of the time, it just takes a little sensor recalibration to shut that alert off—and don’t worry, it’s not as complicated as it may seem.
To recalibrate your tire sensors, fill your tires to the correct psi and then go for a drive at around 50 mph for about 20 minutes. That should be enough time for the sensors to get the message that your tires have the appropriate amount of air in them.
If you’re still getting flashed by the TPMS alert light, though, you may need to schedule a service visit at your local Ford dealership for help from a Ford technician. You could also bring your truck to a local mechanic if you’re dealership (or dealership prices) averse!
