Out of all the luxury brands on the market, Genesis may not get the most attention, but the all-new GV70 crossover is here to change that. With two dynamic engines to choose from, a lavish interior, and a more budget-friendly price than most rivals, the GV70 is highly rated for more than one reason.
The Genesis GV70 may be a catch, but it’s not for everyone. If you’re on the hunt for a luxury crossover SUV, you’ve come to the right corner of the Internet. Here to go over its top eight competitors is

1. Porsche Macan

Starting price: $58,950
Selling points: Lively driving experience
Weak spot: Smaller cargo space than rivals
With a smooth 10/10 rating from Car and Driver, the Porsche Macan sits at the top of the list of midsize luxury SUVs. Few other brands can maintain the easy balance between tearing up the streets and hauling kids home from baseball practice, but the Macan makes it look easy—especially when fitted with one of its three available turbocharged engines.
In case you thought that’s where the Macan’s capabilities end, the 2022 model comes standard with all-wheel drive and offers an adaptive suspension and torque-vectoring differential. With the base engine, the Macan reached 60 mph in a mere 5.0 seconds…and the beefier engines are even quicker.
Don’t worry, the inside is just as chic as under the hood, equipped with a variety of driver assistance features, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Apple CarPlay. For a Porsche, however, the interior quality feels a bit lacking—especially when it comes to space for back seat passengers.

2. Mercedes-AMG GLC-Class

Starting price: $60,950
Selling points: Strong engines, lush cabin
Weak spot: High starting price compared to the rest of the class
Coming in at a close second is the top-rated Mercedes-AMG GLC-Class, ranked as such because of its silky smooth handling and capable engine options; even the standard model sports a 385-hp twin-turbo V6. Not enough for you? Upgrading to the GLC63 S will score you a 503-hp V8 engine…if you’re looking to win a street race after dropping off your groceries.
The inside is predictably pleasant and inviting, draped in synthetic leather upholstery and stacked with generous standard features, including keyless entry, a six-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and several USB ports. You’ll be comfy in the cabin no matter where you’re sitting—just don’t expect to haul much cargo, even with the rear seats down.

3. BMW X3

Starting price: $44,695
Selling points: Exciting drive, intuitive infotainment system
Weak spot: Less luxe cabin than rivals
The BMW X3 is an all-around solid SUV. Not only is it one of the more affordable choices in the class, but it also performs well in almost every category. Its peppy steering lends itself to an all-around fun drive, thanks to its turbocharged engine and poised chassis.
The 2022 model also got itself an upgraded styling, flaunting a new grill, headlights and tail lamps, wheel designs, and bumpers. This Bimmer also gets a combined 24 mpg, which is surprisingly decent for this class.
The X3’s interior is stylish and well-equipped, boasting next-level comfort in every seat. As far as tech goes, BMW’s iDrive interface makes sure you’re set with all the essential luxury features you need in an infotainment system. With a spacious 62.7 cubic feet of cargo room, you can haul nearly anything your heart desires in the back of the X3.

4. Volvo XC60

Starting price: $43,745
Selling points: Stylish in every sense, efficient engines
Weak spot: Distracting infotainment set-up
With three different powertrains to choose from—including a plug-in hybrid option—there’s no denying that the Volvo XC60 is the most fuel-efficient option in its class. Not only will you save money on fuel costs, but you’ll do it in style with the XC60’s chic design and modern style.
The outer elegance extends to the interior as well, with five comfortable seats, high-quality materials, and generous cargo space—but only when the rear seats are folded. This Volvo is also chock-full of standard driver assistance and tech features, like a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, satellite radio, Bluetooth, a wireless charger, Google Maps, and a Wifi hotspot. Navigating the system, however, is not very intuitive.

5. Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio

Starting price: $86,575
Selling points: Near-perfect in every category
Weak spot: Tight cargo space
The 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the priciest SUV on the list, but it’s also one of the most high-class and capable ones. Featuring iconic Italian craftsmanship, the 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio appeals to every sense when you’re driving it. With its humming twin-turbo V6 engine cranking out 505 horsepower, this Alfa Romeo feels more like one of its sportscar siblings than a midsize crossover.
With that kind of price tag, you should expect an interior worthy of royalty—and the Stelvio QF almost delivers it. The 2022 model is cloaked in leather and high-class materials, but its supportive seats can swing to the stiff side. Despite that, the 2022 model is stacked with standard features like 14-way power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, built-in navigation, and a wireless hotspot.
It may not be the most practical option on the list, but the 2022 Stelvio Quadrifoglio is worth the splurge if you can swing it.

6. Audi Q5

Starting price: $44,495
Selling points: Plenty of trim options, smooth styling
Weak spot: Small cargo area
The 2022 Audi Q5 carries the brand’s legacy as a practical option with a generous helping of refinement. The Q5 comes with two powertrain options: a turbocharged four-cylinder or a more powerful and more efficient plug-in hybrid. Between these two options, you can choose between a whopping twelve different trims. The standard Audi Quattro all-wheel drive will make sure you get where you need to go, too.
The quintessential cabin offers standard leather upholstery and heated front seats—with plenty of optional features to step up your comfort game. With tri-zone automatic climate control, a universal garage door opener, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and all the best infotainment features you need, the Q5 takes care of its passengers well.
It’s admittedly not the most thrilling to drive compared to its competitors, but the Q5 delivers on style, practicality, and overall value.

7. Acura RDX

Starting price: $41,795
Selling points: Approachable price, sporty handling
Weak spot: Distracting infotainment system
If you’re looking for a luxury brand SUV but the top dogs are out of your price range, the 2022 Acura RDX may be your perfect match. It doesn’t quite reach the sheer power of those top dogs, of course, but its spunky turbocharged four-cylinder should provide plenty of power for most drivers. The downside of the RDX’s drivetrain, however, is its slightly-sluggish ten-speed automatic transmission.
The cabin of the 2022 RDX offers the most cargo space in the luxury crossover class. The rest of the cabin holds its own in the genre as well, fitted with standard synthetic leather upholstery and 12-way power-adjustable and heated front seats. The standard infotainment and tech features match that of the higher-priced rivals, too, adding on standard Amazon Alexa and proximity keyless entry
It may not be as fancy as its competitors, but the RDX is a sporty, competent, and affordable option.

8. Jaguar F-Pace

Starting price: $52,050
Selling points: Athletic handling, deluxe cabin
Weak spot: The base engine is unimpressive
The sophisticated 2022 Jaguar F-Pace has the total package: robust engine options, a spacious interior, and a fun driving experience. Its three turbocharged engine options spit out up to 395 horsepower, making it a force on the road, too.
While other options on the list take a maximalist approach to cabin style, the 2022 F-Pace proves that less is more with refined materials, fine details, and a clean aesthetic. With a decent amount of cargo space, the F-Pace can take care of your hauling needs or seat three passengers in its roomy rear area. You can expect standard synthetic leather upholstery and heated front seats along with a fully-stacked infotainment system

This app is great, but the customer service is even better! Not to mention convenient! My husband and I got the lowest rate (much lower than the rates I was finding online through my own searches), quickly, and pretty much all through text message! Thank you so much for a hassle free experience👍
