5. BMW X7

Starting price: $78,845 to $145,000

Selling points: Uncompromising luxury for large families

Weak spots: Can get very expensive

is the biggest BMW that the automaker offers, which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. If you want a BMW with three rows of seats but the X5 is just a bit snug for your liking, then the X7 should be more to your taste. Seven seats come standard, and while all are comfortable, some reviewers were annoyed at how slowly the power seats in the second and third rows moved.

This lavish family hauler won’t come cheap, especially if you want to opt for the powerful V8 engine. But the X7 drives like butter and is quiet as a library inside, with plenty of high-end features and top-notch materials. It also has all-wheel drive, a solid towing capacity, and 8.7 inches of ground clearance, so it’s prepped for a little rough and ready action.
