The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander has been recalled five times.
The first recall addressed an issue with malfunctioning automatic seat belt locks, which sometimes prevented the child restraint system from functioning securely. More units were recalled for this same reason in May 2022.
The second recall only affected a single model that was misconstructed due to a software programming issue that affected a robot used in manufacturing.
In early 2022, over 16,500 Outlanders were recalled to address faulty wiring that was causing fuel pump failure, sometimes resulting in engine stalls.
