Muscle cars: a symbol of freedom

When it comes to monthly and quarterly muscle car sales in the U.S., the top three contenders are no surprise. In Q2 2022, the Chevrolet Camaro sold 4,545 units, the Ford Mustang sold 9,024 units and the Dodge Challenger sold 14,743 units, according to

.
The 2022 Chevy Camaro is a comfortable ride with a user-friendly infotainment system. The muscle car exhibits superb handling and offers drivers several powerful engines to choose from. While it can’t seat five people like the Dodge Challenger, or pump out 800 hp at its highest trims, the Camaro does offer a sportier ride as you zip through curves.
The snagged the top spot on the U.S. News “Best Sports Cars for 2022” list. The fun-to-drive Mustang is quick, responsive, and sports a high-end interior with lots of tech features. The base engine impresses with a turbocharged EcoBoost 2.3-liter four-cylinder with 310 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque.
The top selling 2022 Dodge Challenger didn’t stray too much from the traditional lineup. Most new additions were made to the R/T Scat Pack Trim and the Convenience Group Package, giving them new deluxe security alarm systems.
The R/T Scat Pack trim is a favorite among enthusiasts, due to its monstrous Hemi V8 that can pump out 485 hp. Tech lovers also appreciate the 2022 model’s huge center console to store their gear and electronics.

Muscle cars: why you should own one

They sound mean, they look aggressive, and if you’re a gearhead, you need one in your life.
Looking for a vehicle with that wow factor? If you own a muscle car, you’ll turn heads everywhere you go. Whether you opt for a classic model or one with a modern edge, you’ll be charging by in a car full of character and imagination.
Love the sound of a roaring engine? There’s nothing like a 426 Hemi that can crank out 425 hp and 490 lb-ft of torque (from the ‘60s). Contemporary muscle cars like the Charger Hellcat still feature insane engines with more power than they know what to do with.
Not only are pony cars fast, but they’re adored around the world. They’re often featured in international car shows that show off the best American classics from the ‘50s and ‘60s, primarily featuring muscle cars of course. Classic car owners loved to transform their muscle cars with creative and kickass body kits.

Muscle Cars: things to consider before you buy

If you’ve always wanted a Dodge Challenger or Charger, there’s no time like the present. Dodge plans to discontinue the Hellcat Engines by the end of 2023. So get your hands on one of these global sensations before it's too late.
While some fans may find it controversial to replace a fuel-hungry V8 engine with an electric battery, rumors are circulating about a fully electric Mustang for the next generation. It’s likely that Ford will release a hybrid Mustang before 2025.
On the other hand, Dodge has already announced its upcoming electric muscle car, called the eMuscle. The EV even has its own tagline, “Tear up the Streets…Not the Planet.”
In 2024, Chevy is expected to retire the two-door gas-powered Chevy Camaro and replace it with an electric sedan.
While electric versions may not seem as exciting as their gasoline-engined counterparts, they may be worth waiting for if you want to own an up-to-date muscle car with top-notch innovative technology.
