The Japanese automaker has built a strong reputation since
Toyota
first came to the U.S. in 1957. Today, car buyers are wise to consider a Toyota sedan when shopping for new wheels.
Available options span almost every budget and preference. While you may not get a fun or powerful ride, the affordability, reliability, and fuel efficiency will certainly make up for it! Toyota sedans come with exceptional safety ratings and modern amenities. There’s an abundance of options with various trims available in gasoline and hybrid versions.

Toyota sedans under $30,000

The least expensive model in the Toyota sedan lineup is the Yaris at $15,650. The subcompact car has a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with either a manual or automatic six-speed transmission.
It’s a great choice for urban errands, however, buyers will now have to find one on the used car market. It was not available for purchase in 2021 and will be rereleased as a crossover model.
The Camry model got an overhaul in 2021 with new multimedia screens and active safety features, so don’t expect many additions for 2022. The price tag on this mid-size car is $25,395 for the 2.5-liter four-cylinder version.
For an additional $2,100, buyers can get the hybrid Camry. Front-wheel drive comes standard, but can be upgraded to all-wheel drive. Certain trims have a 3.5-liter V6 engine and dual-zone climate control.
A worldwide best-seller since its introduction in 1966, the Corolla remains a flagship Toyota sedan. It’s a compact car with front-wheel drive that starts at $20,175. The optional Premium Interior Package includes heated front seats, leather steering wheel, power driver’s seat, and leatherette upholstery.
While available with a 1.8-liter inline-four engine,
CarBuzz
recommends the Corolla hybrid. With a price tag of $23,750 and combined fuel mileage of 52 mpg, this Toyota sedan has the best value for money.

notes that while there are fewer trim offerings for this model in 2022, the Nightshade Edition makes a sleek addition. The new appearance package has black wheels, rear-spoiler, mirror caps, door handles, and badging.
The mid-size Mirai is the most expensive Toyota sedan in the lineup that starts at $49,500 and can run as high as $66,000. A unique market offering, it’s one of the only hydrogen-powered cars available at the moment. It’s front-wheel drive with a single-speed direct-shift transmission. The Mirai’s design is reminiscent of Toyota’s sister brand, Lexus. It has a range of 402 miles.
