Where is the trunk button on a 2016 Chevy Malibu?
I feel a bit silly asking, but I can’t seem to figure out how to open the trunk on the 2016 Malibu I just purchased. The seller didn’t have the manual, so I’m at a complete loss. Is there a trunk button on the 2016 Chevy Malibu that I’m missing?

That’s not silly! The 2016 Chevy Malibu does not have a trunk button or trunk release inside the cabin. If you want to open the trunk, the Malibu’s only button is on the exterior of the car.
To open the trunk, head to the rear of the car. Right above the license plate, feel around for a rubber button and push it. The trunk should open just like that.
Alternatively, you can also use your key fob to open the trunk, which is especially handy when you’re in the cabin. Double-tap the trunk icon on the key fob and it will open.
