Where is the trunk button on a 2013 Chevy Malibu?

I’m borrowing my friend’s Malibu to move some small lamps that I bought on Craigslist. Unfortunately, she’s out of the country and I have no idea how to open the trunk. Where’s the trunk release on a 2013 Chevy Malibu?

The 2013 Chevy Malibu does not have a trunk button or release on the interior of the vehicle, so opening it is a bit tricky. The trunk button on a 2013 Chevy Malibu is actually located on the right-hand side of the center brake light near the top of the trunk. Simply press this button, and it should pop open the trunk with ease.
Alternatively, use the key fob to open the trunk. Press the button with a trunk icon on it twice in rapid succession and the trunk should open with no problem.
