What is the Ford Raptor's towing capacity?
I’ve always been a huge fan of the Ford F-150 and I’ve owned one for over 15 years. That said, I’m looking to upgrade to the Ford Raptor for increased speed and off-road capability. I’m only worried about towing capacity. What is the Raptor’s towing capacity and how does it compare to the regular F-150?

With a souped-up 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, the 2022 Ford Raptor offers up to 8,200 pounds of towing capacity. While the standard towing capacity measures in at 6,000 pounds, an upgrade to the heavy-duty tow package gives you 8,200 pounds. This is a 200-pound increase over the prior generation of the Raptor.
In addition to an increase in towing capacity, the newest Ford Raptor also has a 200-pound increase in payload capacity, boosting its total payload to 1,400 pounds. With the increase in both towing and payload capacity, the Raptor is the most capable iteration in the history of this iconic pickup.
In comparison to the regular F-150, the Raptor’s towing capacity sits in the middle. Depending on the engine and the trim, the Ford F-150 can tow between 5,000 and 11,300 pounds.
