How do you unbend a car hood?

I bought a used car about a month back without realizing that the car hood was slightly bent. Are there any ways to unbend a car hood without damaging it further?

So sorry that that happened, but I’m happy to say that the dent is likely fixable! If you need to unbend or straighten a car hood, follow these simple steps:
  • Check out how bent it is. If it’s bent severely, you might need to replace it or file a
    car insurance
claim. If it isn’t bent too badly, follow these next steps.
  • Remove the hood from the car.
  • Place the hood upside-down on a soft surface.
  • Use a hammer to bang out any dents.
  • Use a hammer and wood block to help you bend the hood back into place.
  • Repaint
    your hood as necessary.
And that’s all!
