How do you open the gas tank on a 2006 Mazda Miata?

I rented a Miata for fun but now I feel like an idiot. I have to return the car with a full tank but I can’t figure out how to open the fuel door. How do you open the gas tank on a 2006 Mazda Miata?

To open the gas tank on a 2006 Mazda Miata, look for the fuel door release in the box between the seats.
Find the seat side box in between the seats. Pull the handle to open it. Now, look for the fuel door release and pull it. This will pop open the fuel door.
Note that 91-octane fuel is recommended for the Miata.
