To fix peeling car door handles, you’ll need:
- Car paint-safe degreaser
- Dish detergent
- Sandpaper
- Masking tape
- Primer
- Paint
- Clearcoat
Once you have your supplies, you should:
- Clean the door handles with a car-paint-safe de-greaser and sponge.
- Wet the handles and rub the surface by hand to remove loose paint.
- Smooth the surface using 80-grit sandpaper.
- Clean the handle using dish detergent and water to remove any dirt and debris.
- Carefully tape off the surface surrounding the door.
- Apply two coats of primer and let dry.
