background
There is something mysterious about the all-black look of a sleek, stylish car. Expressing yourself on the road has gone monochromatic and it is arguably one of the coolest new trends. What once was a quirk of aftermarket customization has now gone mainstream.
Blacked-out cars are becoming increasingly popular and many of the major car manufacturers are going along for the ride. With the help of
Autotrader
, we’ve compiled a list of four blacked-out trim packages available on the marketplace today.
Looking for a sleek, blacked-out car package? We’ve got you covered.

Hyundai's Night Edition brings a touch of class to the dark side

Hyundai's already dressing up the streets with its Tucson and Kona SUV blackout packages. The company's Night Edition line offers black gloss exteriors and black interior accents, replacing all the chrome and other shades you usually find there.
In 2022, Hyundai is adding a Night Edition version of the sporty Sonata N-Line. The sharply-styled, limited-edition midsize sedan is a visual masterpiece in its own right.

Jeep’s Altitude is a blacked-out beauty with an attitude

MORE: Is the Ford Bronco Better Than the Jeep Wrangler?
The blackout versions of several Jeep models are elevating the rugged brand to an unexpected level. Jeeps already stand out, but the glossy black exterior accents demand attention. The Altitude trim level makes the iconic Jeeps even bolder in black.
The defined 18-inch, five-spoke black wheels and the seven-slot black grille on the
Jeep Cherokee
certainly make a statement. And the Wrangler and Sahara's all-black interiors give the Jeep the out-of-the-ordinary attitude it is known for. Autotrader noted that despite Jeep's outdoorsy facade, the blacked-out features on some of these models really work.

Toyota's Nightshade Edition adds luxury to its models

Toyota's Nightshade Edition is available on several of its models and it looks good, especially on its high-styled sedans. The Toyota Avalon and the Toyota Camry benefit from the stealthy vision of black alloy wheels and black badging. The blacked-out packages tone down the four doors' more elaborate lines.
The automaker is extending its blacked-out car lineup with the Toyota Tacoma, Sequoia, and Tundra. Even the Sienna minivan is enjoying a whole new character with an optional black sport mesh front grille, black 19-inch wheels, and other cool black features. Drivers looking for a kid-friendly ride without compromising style can't go wrong here.

Kia's Telluride Nightfall makes an already great SUV even better

MORE: Do Kias Last a Long Time?
Kia's Telluride SUV doesn't need a blackout package to help propel sales. The SUV is already wildly popular as a reliable and robust set of wheels. But the new Telluride Nightfall edition raises the bar on what blacked-out car packages are supposed to be. It offers a clean style that manages to make a good thing better.
The Telluride Nightfall comes with plenty of interesting blackout options, including gloss-black roof rails and Nightfall Edition-exclusive black 20-inch wheels. You’ll also find headlamps and fog lamps with a black inner bezel. The Nightfall package costs $1,395 but it just might be worth it to those who appreciate a classy ride.
